Calling All Parents of School Aged Children-Trinity School's first annual "A Day in the Life" is coming up on February 15th, beginning at 6:30pm. This is the perfect opportunity to get excited about fall 2012. An opening in the gym for everyone will kick-off the evening and will be followed by a schedule that will allow you and your child to visit the classroom that they will be in this fall. Childcare for siblings will be available and information will be provided in the opening that will show you how to keep your tuition for next year at the 2011-12 rate, a savings of 5%. Why attend "A Day in the Life"? Children want nothing more than to grow up. Checking out the "big kid class" they'll be in next year promotes excitement and excitement leads to a persistance in doing well. This event is for currently enrolled families as well as those who are considering enrollment in the fall. A special, advanced thank you to the PTL who will be providing a snack for everyone at the end of the classroom visits. If you have any questions, please contact school principal, Mr. Schultz.

Zumba: We will begin a second round of Zumba classes beginning February 21st. These one hour classes will be held in the gym on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. We have just a few spaces left for any ladies who have thought about joining us but didn’t make the first round of classes. This second session will take us right up to Easter Break and what we hope will be a warm and dry spring. (This class would be an excellent way to prepare for training season for the 2nd Annual Trinity 5K Fun Walk/Run) If you are interested please contact Marilyn in the church office to get information on cost, to register and to complete necessary medical forms. Remember, sweat - is fat - crying!

30 hour famine is an event that helps participants better understand hunger and its causes through the experience of going without solid food for 30 hours, educational activities and service. For Adults and youth. Happens here Feb. 24th & 25th. Sign-up packets are at the Reception Desk. A donation sheet for the juice we need for the event is also at the Reception Desk. See DCE Wendt with questions.

Market Day orders are due online by Friday, February 10th! Check out the catalogs for two free with minimum purchase offers and specials on cookie dough. Please help support our school with this monthly grocery fundraiser and keep an eye out for information on the Spring Pie fundraiser happening later this month! If you have any questions, please contact Kristin Wielert at 663-4396.

Lands of the Bible Cruise – September: Pastor Thoelke is leading a 15 day cruise of the lands of the Bible, beginning on September 13. We will see Rome, Alexandria and Cairo Egypt, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Lake Galilee and Capernaum in Israel, Ephesus in Turkey, and Athens and Corinth in Greece. The advantage of the cruise is that the ship acts as our hotel so we don’t have to bother with luggage every day. Dr. Paul L. Maier (son of the former Lutheran Hour speaker and professor of ancient history at Western Michigan University) will be the guest lecturer while we are at sea. You will find a copy of the brochure and itinerary in the atrium. A meeting for more information on the tour is being set up for mid February. Watch the bulletin. Contact Pastor Thoelke if you are interested at 663-6456. Fares start at $3098 (this includes air fare from New York, but not $498 in port charges and taxes)

Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne Visit: Men considering the pastoral ministry and women contemplating service as a deaconess have many questions. In order to provide clarity, Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, offers the Prayerfully Consider Campus Visit, March 22–24. There is no charge for this event which allows participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the seminary community. There will be time to sit in on classes, meet with faculty and students, learn about financial aid options and just get to know the Fort Wayne area. To learn more, go to www.ctsfw.edu/PCV or phone 800-481-2155 to talk with a member of the Admission staff. "We encourage anyone considering the vocation of pastor or deaconess to take full advantage of the campus visit," offered Rev. Thomas Zimmerman, CTS Dean of Students. "During their time on campus participants become a part of the seminary community. They have the opportunity to worship with us, learn from our faculty and ask questions of students who have already begun their journey at CTS." Prayerfully consider this opportunity and make plans to visit Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, in March.
