Stephen Ministry: In the last two months you’ve heard and read bits and pieces about Stephen Ministry. Soon the recruiting will cease and the teaching will begin. August will bring interviews for all potential Stephen Ministers. Why an interview? Certain Spiritual gifts are put to use by Stephen Ministers. It’s imperative that Stephen Ministers have those particular gifts. When we use the gifts the Lord has blessed us with in service to Him, we are blessed beyond our greatest imagination. The Trinity School Board is seeking (2) Teacher Aides for our two Kindergarten classes for the 2010-2011 school year. This position would assist the teachers with clerical duties and devote time to assisting with student needs. Applicants should submit a written cover letter, an up-to-date resume, and an application for employment which may be obtained from the Trinity School Office. Trinity Church and School has a part-time opening for a morning receptionist and secretarial work. Hours are 7:00-11:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Applicants must have professional phone skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word. Experience in Microsoft Excel would also be beneficial. Trinity Church and School is seeking custodial help for weekend events and activities. The need is for approximately 4 hours per week. The work schedule will vary depending on weekend schedules. Scrip News: It’s that time of year again to think about back-to-school specials and SCRIP. You can purchase the following SCRIP cards with percentages that go into your tuition account or the scholarship fund: JC Penney (6%), Kohl’s (4%), Wal-Mart (2%), Meijer (3%), Ultra Foods (2%), Office Depot (4%), Office Max (5%), and Payless Shoes (13%).

Lake County Fair Service: Trinity will be leading the Fair Service on Sunday, August 8, at 9:00 a.m. The service will be a Folk Service format.

Volunteer Opportunities at the Lake County Fair Booth: There are opportunities for volunteers to help at the fair booth. Times available are: Saturday, Aug. 7 (1:00 p.m.– 10:00 p.m.), Thursday, Aug. 12 (3:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.), Friday, Aug. 13 (4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.), and Saturday, Aug. 14 (1:00 p.m.– 7:00 p.m.). Shifts are 3 hours in duration. You can sign up at the Atrium desk.

Wedding Invite: Ken and Marianne Manning are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Kali Anne Manning to Matthew William Thiel. Rebuilding the Breach/Bakery House Garage Sale: A very big THANK YOU to all of the wonderful volunteers that made the garage sale a success! We clocked approximately 615 volunteer hours. Our total earnings including the bake sale were $5,550.00. With matching funds from Thrivent we should have raised approximately $7150.00. This was our first year to have a bake sale. We sold $955.00 worth of sugar!
