Join us for a light supper of soup and bread prior to our mid-week Lenten services, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. A free-will offering will be taken to support various youth activities.
Mission and Outreach Awareness: Current Mission information is now located on a table next to the Atrium desk on the south wall. Information will be up-dated every three to four weeks. Up and coming events as well as past information will be featured. This information will also be shared and displayed in the Contemporary Church service area. Presently, Handyman Ministry information and volunteer sheets are on the table, also there is a letter of thanks from Mrs. Sarah Fields of the Northwest Indiana Hispanic Mission Society. Future Missions to be high-lighted will be the Hispanic Mission, Japanese Ministry, POBLO, Wittenberg Mission Project and any mission trip activity. If you would like to know more about a mission that is being featured please contact Jim Radford.
Our Handyman's Ministry mission is to provide home repair and maintenance services to members of Trinity as well as friends of Trinity members. This mission is focusing on:
- Widows/widowers
- Single Mom
- Disabled
- Military families who have the head of the household serving in Iran and Afghanistan.
There are currently eight (8) members of Trinity in this outreach mission and they will perform small repairs around the house. This group also will work in assisting local disaster relief. These individuals will provide the labor with the homeowner providing the cost of materials. To request help, call the contact person Dennis Mills at 661 – 8656. To volunteer your services complete the information sheet at the Missions & Outreach display table in the Atrium. Place the sheet in the envelope provided on the display table.
The Board of Children & Youth invites all children (age 10 and under) to our Easter Egg Hunt, on Saturday, March 27th at 10:00 a.m., on the soccer field. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Atrium desk starting Sunday, March 14th. We are asking for a donation of eggs filled with wrapped candy for each child participating. There will be a box in the Atrium to receive donations starting on the 14th, as well. There will also be some Goodies for the grown-ups, so please plan to join us for this fun event!
Trinity PTL: Anyone interested in running for the following PTL board positions, please submit your name into the PTL mailbox by March 15, 2010. Positions open are Secretary, Vice President and Publicity.
Getting to Know ULu at Purdue: University Lutheran Church, campus ministry at Purdue, invites you to be part of the 5th annual Getting to Know ULu and Purdue weekend on March 27 and 28. This weekend will be for all Juniors and Seniors in high school who are thinking about attending Purdue or even just want to spend some time in a college atmosphere. The weekend will include campus tours and activities, along with plenty of time to interact with current students and ask any questions you may have about college life. Check-in will be from 11-12 on Saturday, and the event will wrap up after worship and lunch on Sunday. All meals will be provided starting with lunch on Saturday. The fee for the weekend is only $10 and includes a Purdue T-shirt. Please contact Matt Burr to register by March 21. Pennies for Patients Update: On behalf of the Trinity PTL and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, our Pennies for Patients campaign was very successful. With the help of our Trinity school and church families, in one week, we were able to collect $1,029.38 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The First Grade class was the winning class collecting $287.58; GREAT JOB!!! Thanks again for your outstanding support of this worthy cause. Trinity PTL
