About Us

 What We Do

The people of God at Trinity gather regularly to hear the Word of God, sing His praises, and to offer prayer to Him. Members of Trinity support and encourage one another in prayer and through a variety of activities. We promote and encourage outreach to our community.

For the adults: grow in your Christian faith through Bible study and sharing of God's Word on Sunday mornings. We offer seven, yes seven, different worship services a week. There are a ton of different Bible studies offered throughout the week.

For the children: enroll in Christian education through our Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School, Vacation Bible School and Sunday School.

For the youth: sign up for great opportunities to serve other people. We participate in age appropriate Bible studies, engaging activites, and mission trips.

Who We Are

Trinity Lutheran Church and School is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. Trinity was founded in Crown Point, Indiana in 1868 (the community of Crown Point was also founded in 1868).

We proclaim the good news to all that Jesus Christ has paid the penalty of our sins and is our Redeemer and Savior.

Mission: A family growing together, learning God's Word, serving our neighbor to witness Christ's love.

Our Vision: to invite the community to share in the Good News of Jesus Christ. As each person grows in faith, we believe that they are enabled to joyfully use God-given gifts for loving service to our neighbors both locally and globally.

What We Believe

Trinity Lutheran believes that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, and the only source and authority for our teaching. Trinity also believes that it is only by God's free gift that we are saved and have come to have a relationship with Him. Through that relationship and our faith alone in Jesus Christ that we have the forgiveness of our sins; for Jesus is God's Son and the world's only Savior. God has given us His Word through the Holy Bible and through the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper to aid our growth in faith, love and service. While we wait for Jesus to return, our purpose then is to seek to be at the seat of His eternal banquet table, and by inviting all people to know and serve Him.

Serving others through Christ, together!
